Meanwhile, the Asrtu Arctic Sino-Russian Youth Innovation Forum was held at the Faculty of Science of Northeast Federal University. The forum is divided into two sub-venues: the research on key issues of transportation and architecture in extremely cold and freezing conditions, and the research on Arctic ecological climate and chemistry. There are 30 innovative reports on Arctic research by Chinese and Russian youth. They are from Harbin Institute of Technology, North-Eastern Federal University, Tongji University, Moscow National Auto Highway Technology University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The theme of the report covers a wide range of research areas, including environmental science and engineering, nanomaterials, economic management and other fields. The successful development of this forum has promoted in-depth exchanges and discussions between young students of China and Russia in the field of Arctic research, and strengthened interaction and cooperation between young students of China and Russia.

On the morning of September 15th, the regular work meeting of the Asrtu Alliance Colleges and Universities was held on the Lena River Meteorite 236 speedboat. China and Russia exchanged in-depth discussions and exchanges on talent training, scientific research cooperation and academic exchanges in the Arctic environment, infrastructure construction, construction, permafrost and other fields, and reached consensus on the construction of an Asrtu Arctic scientific research cooperation platform: the establishment of an Asrtu-Russian Arctic data system; joint application for international scientific research projects in the Arctic field; and the establishment of an Asrtu Arctic expert exchange mechanism. To strengthen cooperation with Arctic universities outside the alliance and relevant academic research organizations. At the meeting, representatives of China and Russia of the alliance unanimously adopted the “Yakutsk Declaration of Asrtu”.

On September 15th-17th, 27 students from Chinese and Russian universities participated in the field Sino-Russian youth training camp in Asrtu. Through visiting the Arctic Innovation Center, the Academy of Cosmic Physics, the underground laboratory and the Permafrost College, and participating in the field hydrometeorological research, field permafrost survey and geological profile survey, the students learned about the current situation of the research on the frontier problems of the Arctic, and felt the innovative progress and hard adherence of scientific researchers under the extremely cold conditions at close range. In addition, young people from China and Russia visited the world's northernmost zoo, the Orto Doidu Folklore Center and the banks of the Lena River to appreciate Yakut's unique natural features and customs.
